Tile Abode Ltd. – Return & Refund Policy

Welcome to Tile Abode Ltd. We take pride in providing premium products and excellent service. Please read our Return and Refund Policy carefully before placing an order. By purchasing from our store, you agree to the terms set out below.


1. Reporting Damaged or Missing Items

Home Delivery: All damages or missing items must be reported in writing within 2 days of delivery to: info@tileabode.com. Reports after this period will not be accepted.

Store Collection: Items must be inspected before leaving the store. Damage or missing items must be reported before you depart.

Photographic Evidence: We may request photos of damaged goods or packaging to validate your claim.


2. Order Cancellations

Orders can be cancelled within 14 days from the day after delivery. To cancel, email info@tileabode.com or call 01706 345415.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of a scheduled delivery may incur charges.

Made-to-order items are non-cancellable once the order is placed.

We reserve the right to cancel any order at our discretion. In such cases, a full refund will be issued.


3. General Return Policy

Return Period: You have 7 days to initiate a return for unwanted items.

Condition: Items must be unused, in original undamaged packaging, and in resalable condition.

Return Window: Approved returns must be sent back within 14 days of delivery acceptance.

Return Location: Returns must be made to our Showroom in Rochdale.

Refunds: A full refund or credit, minus delivery and return shipping costs, will be issued once the items are inspected and approved.

Return Shipping Costs: Customers are responsible for return shipping. Please use a tracked service and retain the receipt.

Showroom Returns: Returns made directly to our showroom are free of charge.


4. Faulty & Damaged Items

Inspection Period: You must check items within 48 hours of delivery.

Reporting Faults: Damaged, incorrect, or missing items must be reported within 48 hours.

Return Process: Once approved, we will advise you on returning, collecting, or disposing of the item (written approval required for disposal).

Replacements: Replacement items will be sent free of charge via standard delivery.

Postage Reimbursements: If you're asked to post an item for inspection and it's confirmed faulty, postage costs will be reimbursed.

Returns to Store: Items can be returned to a store, but refunds will only be issued after inspection.

Installation Acceptance: Installation implies acceptance. We will not refund installed goods with visible damage or incorrect specifications.


5. Items Excluded from Return

The following items are non-returnable, unless faulty:

Custom-made or personalized items, such as painted baths, Whirlpool Spa Baths, or custom wall panels.

Short-lived goods, such as adhesives and grout, if opened, partially used, expired, or improperly stored.

Tiles, if:

The tile is discontinued.

The box is partially used.

The tile design has changed significantly. (See Section 6 for more details.)


6. Tile-Specific Return Conditions

Tile Quantities: Customers are responsible for ordering the correct quantity.

Batch Matching: We cannot guarantee additional tiles will match a previous batch.

Size Variations: Tiles may have minor natural size differences. Returns are only accepted for defects outside BS tolerances.

Damaged on Delivery: A small number of damaged tiles are expected. If an excessive amount arrives damaged, contact us immediately.

Post-Installation Issues: Installed tiles cannot be returned for issues like incorrect type or mismatch.


7. Guarantees & Liability

Products are guaranteed for normal domestic use against manufacturing defects.

Incorrect installation, poor maintenance, or use outside the UK voids the guarantee.

Any repair, replacement, or refund will only be issued if the fault is confirmed under warranty conditions.

Customers are responsible for ensuring product suitability before installation (e.g., size, pressure compatibility, placement).
